Utilizing a strong, yet safe, magnetic field, radiofrequency waves are used to scan your body to create images of the inside of the body. Since common orthopaedic injuries and conditions may necessitate the use of an MRI, your orthopaedic doctor or surgeon may recommend that you undergo an MRI.
