Dr. Robert Westrol is a board-certified, fellowship-trained pain management and physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor. With extensive experience in a wide variety of advanced nonoperative procedures and interventional techniques, Dr. Westrol specializes in interventional pain management, including ultrasound-guided injections, radiofrequency ablation, and spinal cord stimulation.

After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey, Dr. Westrol attended Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree. He stayed in Philadelphia after earning his medical degree to complete a transitional internship at Frankford Health Care System as well as his rehabilitation medicine residency at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Following his residency, Dr. Westrol underwent extensive specialty training by completing a fellowship in pain management at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia.

Dr. Westrol is dedicated to providing world-class individualized care and works with each of his patients to create a treatment plan that meets their needs and helps them get back to the activities they love. 

Currently, Dr. Westrol sees patients at our practice locations in Hickory and Lenoir.
